Henan University (HENU)

Founded in 1912 as the Preparatory School for Further Study in Europe and America, Henan University is a "Double First-Class" university jointly established by Henan Province and the Ministry of Education. It has three campuses: Minglun and Jinming in Kaifeng (an ancient capital of eight dynasties) and Longzihu in Zhengzhou (the provincial capital). The university offers 12 academic fields with 37 schools, over 4,400 faculty members (including 21 academicians), and approximately 50,000 students. Biology is a "Double First-Class" discipline, and six subjects rank in the ESI global top 1%.

• From the airport to Longzihu Campus:

• By metro: Take Chengjiao Line (towards Nansihuan) to Nansihuan Station, transfer to Line 2 (towards Jiahe) to Zijingshan Station, then transfer to Line 1 (towards Henan University New Campus) to Henan University New Campus Station – the campus is right outside the station. Total journey: about 1 hour 20 minutes, fare approx. 7 RMB.

• By taxi/ride‑hailing: about 40 minutes, cost approx. 60‑80 RMB.

• From Zhengzhou East Railway Station (high‑speed rail) to Longzihu Campus:

• By metro: Take Line 1 (towards Henan University New Campus) to Henan University New Campus Station – about 15 minutes, fare 2 RMB.

• By taxi: about 10 minutes, cost approx. 15 RMB.

• Local public transport: Metro Line 1 terminal station "Henan University New Campus" stops directly at the north gate of the campus; bus routes S177 and 312 also serve the area.
